We grew up in a family where food was always at the epicentre of making memories – a shared experience over generous servings, exchanging stories, and lots of laughter.

From trips to the markets with our Nona, and her obsessive focus on quality ingredients, to big family dinners around the table and picnics packed for adventures, our cooking is a love letter to our upbringing. We cherish family recipes and Italian traditions passed down through generations.

We've spent our lives watching the people we love cook for the people they love, taking meticulous care in the preparation, serving, and entertaining to make sure everyone is well-fed, relaxed, and enjoying themselves. When we think of food, we think of our grandma Helen's kitchen table overflowing with fresh produce from the markets, our grandad Gavan's limitless energy bouncing around, chopping, dancing, and throwing things in pots. For us, food is synonymous with love.

Maya & Chelsea

Maya and Chelsea’s love for food and creativity started in their hometown of Mullumbimby in Northern NSW. Growing up surrounded by fresh local produce and homemade meals, they developed a deep passion for cooking that shines through in everything they do. In the kitchen, Maya and Chelsea are all about hands-on creativity. They love experimenting with new ingredients and techniques, making sure each dish is not only delicious but also a visual treat. Their knack for blending traditional recipes with modern twists creates meals that are both comforting and exciting.

At Marias, Maya and Chelsea have found the perfect playground for their culinary talents. They collaborate closely on every menu, infusing their unique perspectives and inspirations into each dish. Their dedication to using the finest local ingredients and supporting sustainable practices reflects their commitment to quality and community. Jasper's passion for food is evident in every dish he creates. His journey through the culinary world has been marked by relentless experimentation and a drive for creativity. Jasper's obsession with quality and his refusal to take shortcuts have defined his approach to cooking, ensuring that every ingredient is the finest and every technique is meticulously executed.

Starting his career in the kitchens of New South Wales, Jasper quickly progressed through the ranks, earning the title of head chef at various esteemed venues. His dedication to hiscraft and his innovative approach to menu design set him apart, allowing him to create dishes that are both inventive and deeply satisfying.

At Marias, Jasper has found the perfect environment to fully express his culinary talents. Here, he enjoys the freedom to experiment and push boundaries, bringing unexpected ingredients together to create distinctive flavours that surprise and delight. His creative vision and unwavering commitment to excellence make every meal at Marias a truly unique experience.
